Unique Baking Gifts For Christmas

unique baking gifts for christmas
What are some unique gifts for my boyfriend for Christmas?

I’m a teenager so of course I’m sort on cash. I’ve got lots of friends and family to get gifts for and only a little bit of money to do so. I’ve been trying to think of some cute and sweet things to get for my boyfriend for christmas.
I was thinking of making him a cd of some love songs or something and a couple piano songs that i play… but that idea kinda sounded cheesey to me. So i don’t know I’d like to give him something like that. I can’t bake at ALL so thats totally out of the question. Is there anything else i buy/ make for him on my limited supply of cash?

Thanks!!

1)A jump rope from the sports training department $10-$20.
2)I don’t see anything wrong with a CD, but maybe some current hits from the radio, an F.M. station, like Bleeding love, Gimme Gimme, David Cook (I hear him on WKYQ in Paducah, KY.) or Christmas Carols. Look on the radio for something Jazzy or the Manhattan Transfer, they are very good.
3)Air Freshener? When I was young, a boyfriend really liked a car freshener to hang on the rear view mirror, Maybe a plug-in for his room, or aerosol can.
4) Dairy Queen treat.
5) A sprig of mistletoe, artificial from a dime store or sometimes hardware store(True Value).
6) Freeze some TV Dinners, make him a couple of plate from your own meals on foam, tin or solo plastic plates. You can include, meat, vegetable, roll, fruit, cake & pie. Meat (roasts, meat loaf, chicken breast, chicken cutlet and instant mashed potatoes, known as entree~with no other thing. Through in packaged gravy mix about 45 cents a pack. (Schilling McCormick). You add only boiling water or milk to the potatoes to make the plate, he adds the gravy himself by adding boiling water.
7) A night light about $2. And a magazine. Men love those too, a lot of times.

Volcano Experiment

Baking Soda And Vinegar Reaction Balloon

Chemistry EXPERIMENT!! alka-seltzer, baking soda, vinegar, POP a baloon, Blow out a candle, light a LIGHT BULB

Im doing a chemistry experiment. I need to make a contraption that will do at least two of the following things…

-pop a balloon
-blow out a candle
-lift 500 grams (5 cm)
-light a light buld(a little christmas light bulb is fine)
-light a match
-have something change colors(chemical change)

this contraption has to be automatic(do it all by itself, except for me starting the chain of reactions)

You can only use either alka-seltzer and water OR Baking Soda And Vinegar(probably used in the beginning of the “experiment”

i thought alka-seltzer was sopposed to complete an electrical current(for lighting the light bulb) but it didnt seem to work?

any ideas on how i could do some of this stuff or interesting things to make it cool!?!?!?!?!?!?

you should probably solve this for yourself. BUT.

soda/vinegar in a bottle could easily inflate a balloon around the mouth og the bottle, and if the balloon were next to a lit candle, could easily blow the candle out when it pops (because it hit the candle flame)…

Baking Gingerbread House Plans

baking gingerbread house plans
What ingredients should I use to make a healthy gingerbread house?

I plan on making simple, home-made, healthy gingerbread houses for a few of my relatives. Simple as in, no baking. Home-made as in, no store-bought kits. Healthy as in, not so much sugar and candy. I’m thinking of building the house out of graham crackers, but I need suggestions of what to use in place of sugary icing and frosting, and candy decorations. Please offer me some suggestions. Thank you.

The Gingerbread House Recipe:

3 egg whites (room temperature works best)

1 pound powdered (Confectioners) sugar

1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar

1 box of graham crackers

2 – 3 bags of hard candies, gum drops, and sprinkles

1. Beat egg whites, powdered sugar and cream of tartar together for 3 to 5 minutes; until mixtures is stiff and glossy.

2. Spoon icing into plastic sandwich bags and cut off a corner tip.

3. Squeeze icing liberally on edges of both graham crackers and hold together for a few minutes to let set before continuing.

4. Cut Graham crackers on the diagonal for the roof and repeat step 4.

5. Once the houses are dried and able to stand alone, repeat steps 1 and 2.

6. Decorate with candies, using icing to paste candies onto the gingerbread house.

Note: Eggs will begin to harden within ten minutes. If not used right away, put a damp cloth over the bowl.
