What do teens do for fun these days? (why drugs?)?
Almost everyone I know does nothing in their free time this is all they do: spend all day on the computer, do drugs, drink, eat, watch tv, play xbox games and all that stuff. It varies from person to person but is that what the world is coming to? Everyone at my work does cigarets and weed. Kids at school do that too. I may sound old but I’m 17 and I do none of that! Really!
What I do is go outside and explore the woods, take pictures and look through them when I’m bored, I only watch tv or videos I download as a treat at night, I play my nintendo ds at night and on the bus, I have a job, I bake, clean (a lot), cook, exercise I have a wii I play sometimes. Now I know other kids play sports and aren’t lazy, good for them but really we need more people to stop being lazy!
I am making a poll for school and I want to know what you do for fun!

well yea a whole bunch of people smoke at my school and blah blah blah, but i prefer not to because those are the bad activities to get involved in. actually just today my friend and I went to walmart and found Nerf swords and fought each other with them, then we went and walked down to get pizza, then we walked all the way over to sonic and got some food and drinks and ate our pizza there, and then we started to walk home and on the way we stopped at the park and swung a little. Known of my friends or I are involved in drugs or anything like that. And then we all also play video games and other sorts of things like that. Thats what i do. I hang out with my friends and play the game consoles and games that i have.

So I thought I might ask this in a different Section see if I can get some more Answers!!!
So I need present ideas! He’s in Iraq, serving his country! I’m so proud of him! Some info on us, we are very much in love, met in church, and both of us are having a hard time with this separation, but are trying to make the most of it, and we are very committed to each other. I currently send him baked goods, letters, books, pictures & whatever little stuff he needs/wants. But I want get him something he’ll really like for the holidays! And just other gift ideas would be great, cause my clever level is running on empty! Thanks so MUCH!!!
I never served overseas, but I have a lot of ex-military friends. The best gift you can give a guy is a sense of “home.” I am sure the guys in Iraq are really homesick, and longing to see the faces of loved ones.
If you can, make a DVD of yourself and send it to him. It can even be of any routhine things you normally do, like go to school or visit his family. In fact, maybe include his family in the DVD as well.
Trust me, you will set your brave soldier to crying, and this DVD love-letter will be something that he will want to keep for the rest of his life. (My father still has the love letters my mother sent him while he was overseas in the service 50 years ago; she still has his as well.)
Along with this, send him some nice things he could probably use in Iraq: sunblock, a nice pair of sunglasses, merchandise from his favorite pro sport teams, whatever…
He will appreceiate your thoughfulness. God bless the both of you, and send him my regards and hopes that he comes home safely soon.
