Baking Soda And Vinegar Reactions

baking soda and vinegar reactions
Does this series of reactions (using baking soda, vinegar, and hydrochloric acid) create table salt?

Combine the Baking Soda And Vinegar to yield sodium acetate, water, and carbon dioxide.

CH3COOH + NaHCO3 → CH3COONa + CO2 + H2O

Combine the solution of sodium acetate with hydrochloric acid to yield acetic acid and sodium chloride.

NaHCO3(aq) + HCl (aq) → CH3COOH + NaCl

Does this work? If so, is it safe to as an at-home demonstration?

yes to both. they are both home products for consumption. just watch the splatter of the CO2(g) carrying salt with it. it’ll get everywhere if you don’t cover it while also letting the CO2 to escape.

the HCl will be a bit hard to get your hands on and it doesn’t have to be concentrated either. 0.1M will be plenty

baking soda and vinegar balloon
how Baking Soda And Vinegar blow up a balloon?

it is for a science fair project

Baking soda and vinegar react to make carbon dioxide. The reaction is:

NaHCO3 + CH3COOH —> CH3COONa + H2O + CO2

Its the CO2 that blows up the balloon

science help please!!!!!!!?

here is a procedure to an experiment can u tell my the purpose and the chemical equation
procedure
1. 100ml of vinegar and pour into flask
2. weigh out 15 g of baking soda on the triple beam balance
3. blow up and realese balloon to stretch
4. pour baking soda into balloon
5. stretch balloon onto top of flask
6. tip balloon up straight so baking soda pours into flask
can u please help me ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and can u please tell me wat the stuff on the bottom of the flask after the experiment would be thanks

Vinegar is acetic acid: CH3COOH
Baking soda is sodium bicarbonate: NaHCO3
Mixing the two is simply and acid base reaction.
CH3COOH + NaHCO3 —> CH3COONa + H2CO3
That last product is carbonic acid which quickly decomposes into
carbon dioxide and water:
H2CO3 —> H2O + CO2
The CO2 is what you see foaming and bubbling in this reaction.
