science experiment help?
im in year 7 and i’m doing a science experiment but i don’t know what to do. the teacher said keep it simple but i don’t want it too simple like those vinegar and Baking Soda Volcano‘s . it can be anything. please help! i need one by Saturday!!
Baking soda volcanoes are TV cliches- actual science experiments teach you how to answer a question using the Scientific Method:
1) Ask a Question
2) Do Background Research
3) Construct a Hypothesis
4) Test Your Hypothesis by Doing an Experiment
5) Analyze Your Data and Draw a Conclusion
6) Communicate Your Results
These steps have been absolutely useful in answering questions about the world, everything from understanding germs and bacteria to discovering new planets. Just ask yourself what you’re curious about and then use those steps to find an answer. Just recently I wondered if microwaving tap water makes it different from regular, non-microwaved tap water. If I wanted to answer that question I’d follow the scientific method.
